That makes me even more confused.How do I check the port and IRQ
as Linux sees it  or how do I  change the settings in isapnp , I understand
that
isapnp is a command .
As I said , Linux recognises ttyS0 , which I gathered both from the
setserial
command , and also from the kernel boot-up message display (ttyS00 at
0x03f8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A) . But as I said they do not recognise ttyS1 ,
ttyS2 and ttyS3.

I searched /proc for info on the IRQs  and Ports , but did not see any file
that might help.

Please guide me on this as well as how to make Linux see ttyS1 .
