Hi friends, I am using RedHat Linux 7.1
I have configured squid for using it as proxy. Now the problem is , it does not have any ipchains set up. So all the traffic of my LAN goes throw squid. But in this case, ppl are not able to use remote pop3 server. What i am planning is , i will open on pop3 port for all , from ipchains, and set the machine's ip to the gatway. Thus ppl wont be able to browse but can access only the mail server. I have tried couple of commands but it is not working I have tried ipchains -A input -p tcp -s 192.168.1.0/24 110 -d 0/0 110 -j ACCEPT but its not working. I could not do telnet m-net.arbornet.org pop3 from the windows machine using linux machine as gatway. what could be the correct syntex of opening pop3 port from ipchains ? or how can give access to pop3 ports from squid ? --kunal __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
