Read the man page for the correct syntax. You need to do at least: sysctl -w net.ipv4.ip_forward=1 modprobe ipchains ipchains -P input ACCEPT ipchains -P forward REJECT ipchains -P output ACCEPT ipchains -A forward -p tcp --dport 110 -j MASQ On your gateway (assuming squid runs on your gateway, else add a MASQ rule for the squid machine too). > what could be the correct syntex of opening pop3 port from > ipchains ? or how can give access to pop3 ports from squid ?
