We should try to influence/help move one person in our neighbourhood
or locality to a Linux system.
Each each of us,
. should spread the awareness about Linux
. attempt to influence purchase decisions of computer parts
(e.g. Linux compatible modems, printers)
. be the friendly neighbour who helps people troubleshoot
their systems
. utilize every public opportunity to present a balanced
perspective about Linux OS / desktop.
. help setup Real Player, Yahoo Messenger, Flash on Linux systems
for people who are sceptical about these applications working
with Linux
. project "virus-free solutions" means Linux
. project "Windows XP" means Windows for Xploited People
I am sure there would be many more activities that one can do.
Please suggest them, so that we can consolidate them as part of
the action plan.
This is a grass-roots movement and community participation is
very very crucial to our overall success.
It's a battle of the hearts and minds!
