Hi, I am facing a problem with Sendmail configuration. It is like this:
I am setting up a mailserver ( RedHat 8.0 ) at a new location. The server name is 'server1.domain1.com' and I am using sendmail as my MTA. This server has been configured to queue the mails and send to 'domain1.com' (which is our corporate mail server), when the dial-up link comes up. The 'domain1.com' holds all the incoming mails of the users and 'server1' picks them up with fetchmail. All the user's mailIDs are given as [EMAIL PROTECTED] , [EMAIL PROTECTED] etc... The problem is that if user1 sends a mail to user2 who is on the same server (server1), the mail has to go through dialup link to domain1.com, and come back again through the fetchmail. Now, will it be possible to configure the Server1 to deliver the local mails locally without changing the mail IDs? (ie. I don't wish to change the mail IDs to [EMAIL PROTECTED] etc) If possible, how to do it? Thanks in advance.
