he doesn't really have to use subdomains - at least he doesn't have to tell the world that he does. Let's look at the most general case: [EMAIL PROTECTED] sends a mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and [EMAIL PROTECTED] user2's mail should be delivered locally - no problem here since he is @server1.... user's mail should go through the smart host - no problem since domain is different. user2 should see mail coming from [EMAIL PROTECTED] - this is so that replies are sent correctly. user should see mail coming from [EMAIL PROTECTED], and should see other recipient as [EMAIL PROTECTED] - this is so that replies from outside are sent to real domains. This is what needs to be done: genericstable aliases @server1.domain1.com. to @domain1.com. esmtp mailer sends all headers through genericstable local mailer sends no headers through genericstable -- "Right now I feel that I've got my feet on the ground as far as my head is concerned." -- Baseball pitcher Bo Belinsky ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Get the new Palm Tungsten T handheld.
