One of our pc here was not booting up, finally managed to locate the
problem to that of syncing and reading the hardware clock. The system now
runs ok with hwclock portions commented out from rc.sysinit and halt.

Does low mobo battery cause this. I have a feeling more serious hardware
problem is to blame.
