I have NIS server running on RH 8. I am also running yppasswdd on the server. Now the problem is that from the clients I can't change user passwords using yppasswd. Whenever I try to do it, it gives me some error message about yppasswd not running on the NIS server (though the yppasswd daemon is running on the NIS server). ypbind and portmap are running on the clients. From the clients I can do a network login without any problems at all. From the clients ypcat, ypwhich etc are working as well. Can you guys tell me what might be the problem....
