In general, since all replies should be sent to the list anyway (whether they are sent to the OP or not), people would have to do a reply-all. (Not all mail clients have the List reply option of mutt.) Also, most list members seem to be too lazy to delete extra recipients. This would result in the OP getting two replies. Worse, people who reply to replies and do a reply-all end up replying to two, three, or more people.
