After much dithering I have finally decided to move all the office machines to Linux networking. As of today I have three Piii / iv 's on Linux (PCQ 7.1), six machines in various flavours of Win and about ten machines on Netware 3.12. I am trying to network all. Mail is working fine for internal as well as external deliveries by using MHS / Pegasus / Mercury combination on Netware with Sendmail on linux. Next step is to link machines so that I can get single point authentication for all users. Right now I have addusers on each machine under linux and as I move more machines to Linux this is going to be cumbersome. How do I set up users database on one machine and setup other machines to look-up for authentication?? AND how do I share specific directories across the machines? Meaning if user "A" has his home directory on machine X then even while working on machine Y he should still be able to access his home??? Something like samba for win stations. AND how PXE environment is set? Some of the nodes on Novell are diskless workstations using mainly accounting applications.
Will appreciate guidance. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ linux-india-help mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-india-help
