Dear Friends, I have studied all the help as well as this list but I could not solve my problem, which is as follows.
We have a server RHL Linux 7.2, which has a global ip. On that server we have configured squid proxy to share Internet to users, the firewall has been installed to restrict outer members to enter into network. At the client end I have RHL 8.0,and configured proxy to surf internet, and successfully surfing. I have installed yahoo messenger 0.99.19-Beta on the client and In the preferences I have configured HTTP proxies 10.1.1.23 (server ip) and 8080 (server port), but I am unable to connect yahoo messenger. Then I load yahoo messenger at Linux server there i immediately able to connect yahoo messenger. Can any body help what is missing at client end ???
