can anyone confirm if a box running kernel 2.4 boots up cleanly with the
root fs mounted ext3 data=writeback mode, when the root file system is
passed as kernel parameters during booting as root = blah.

Let me know, next time when you reboot your machine.

I was hoping to find a way to pass the mount options to the kernel, but
couldnt find a way to do it.
