Hi,

You need do a INDEXING on database. using EXPALIN sql command you can find
out how
 much time it takes and how much rows it has searched.

for example
    mysql>explain select username from yahoo where phoneno = '5782716';

   you will see rows, if the value in rows higher than one, then you need to
do indexing

 using ALTER command you can do INDEXING of tables accordingly
