Download the Stage 2 iso. Make partitions for /, /usr/, /usr/local, /var, /tmp, /boot, /home. Install from teh ISO follwo teh instructions. This does'nt need any special docs. Once the install is done, set lilo/grub to boot multiple OSes. >I also want to know if the gentoo distro in september >DIQ cd is good enough for a working installation >complete with, importantly, Xserver and c/c++ >libraries including openGL libraries. Gentoo on a CD does'nt make sense. The objective is to build a distro for your PC, facilitated by Gentoo. Anyway, wait for release 1.4 Also, if you are looking a decent linux "warrior" install, look at http://www.yoper.com, Sorcerer Linux and Crux. cheers ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.NET email is sponsored by: SourceForge Enterprise Edition + IBM + LinuxWorld = Something 2 See! http://www.vasoftware.com _______________________________________________ linux-india-help mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-india-help
