Wireless NICs are a differnt scenario. Usually it is a solution where you want to setup LAN overnight without doing a wiring. Or a emergency temporary setup and later on moving over to wire. Each room have a base station which connects over wireless to multiple PCs. Multiple base stations may be connected over wire. Wireless LANs are very expensive.thats really sad ... but does that mean that i can't use wireless NICs etc. also ... i don't think so ... what i am saying here is that i only want a ppp wireless connection .. and am willing to design a circuit if i get a simple enuff idea.
Govt. regulations don't allow you to do that. You are not even allowed to use long range cordless phones! These phones are very much in use in Bhutan. People just hook up a outdoor antenna to the base station and get a range of about 60km. On the other hand no VSAT is allowed to be setup in Bhutan. So no credit cards!and easy i know but that is not what i want ... i saw an article at slashdot which got me interested and so i asked here ..
