I downloaded an src.rpm. I did rpmbuild --rebuild xxx.src.rpm. This merely unpacked the sources into /usr/src/redhat/BUILD.
I then tried rpmbuild --recompile xxx.src.rpm w/ the same result. I then did rpmbuild -ba xxx.src.rpm The manpage mentions doing rpmbuild --rebuild|--recompile SOURCEPKG but this exits w/ an error saying --recompile command unknown. What am I doing wrong ? btw the package is gnupg 1.2.1. I know, I have the sources in /usr/src/redhat/BUILD and I can just ./configure, make and make install but I'd like to use rpm to do this. thanks, Sharukh. -- Dr. Sharukh K. R.
