Any intel P3 variant with onboard AC97 sound. Almost all of the CD-Writers
works. while it work,I would not recommend onboard i810/i815 graphics but it
works great with linux. There should be other bit higher end graphics cards as
well which should work flawlessly with X With a 32 MB AGP card, (dunno exactly
what brand) costs 1400/-, I would say go for it.

There is hardly any linux incompatible hardware these days. Digital cameras are
bit more pain to get. (I have a D-Link one which does not work). But apart from
that things just work.

Did I miss any major hardware?

Oh, yes.. Install Mandrake.:-)
