Not to start a war, but I have been finding each release to get slower, and take more memory. Even opening terminals in RH8.0 and the "ls" command is noticably slower than 7.1. I have the same softwares loaded at both ends, as well as the same window manager etc. In fact, 7.1 on a P II seems to faster that 8.0 on a P III.
