slower or taking more memory is not going to decrease stability. remember,
stability is different from all this.
my OS can run a little slowerm, but if it can run for 365 days/24hrs without
any memory leaks and without needing a reboot, i guess, its a very stable
OS.

on the other hand, if it runs like a ferrai but often crashes and reboots,
then i guess, its very unstable.

with advancement in versions, newer stuff is added on to existing software.
after all what is a major version increment? of course patches are
introduced but also new features are clubbed on. so its obvious that the
existing software will have more overheads.

Well, i cant really find any URL's , but what i can say is that you read
"whats new" with each release of RH. thats the best that comes to my mind.
