i think i messed up. now it does not ask for any partitions to be created
and there is only one partition whcih it treats as swap.
and then each time, it screams , that there is no solaris partition to hold
the software.
i have now managed to some how restart the re-install and i am at the
prompt.
but typing fdisk is making my head spin. how do i create my partitions. any
web guide or URL ?

these are the partitions i am planning to create , but how much space to be
allocated to each, i have no idea. can anybody help ?

/etc
/export/home
/home
/kernel
/opt
/proc
/tmp
/usr
/usr/openwin
/var/
/var/mail
