I think this thread couldn't have come at a better time for me. Just yesterday, I got connected to a 128Kbps line (DIAS). I started off with a vigorous surfing spree and ended up gobbling up 5mb of my 500mb bandwidth cap. Today, I decided to check out the mighty Usenet, gobbling up a whopping 60mb.
That is 500 megs a MONTH?
Download a bunch of newsgroups, and maybe a couple of kernels and things - watch that quota disappear.
