You surely have the freedom, but what Devdas pointed out has
logic beyond freedom of choice. Normally in mailing lists/
usenets, threads follow a chronological order so that the flow
of events are easier to follow. This is the convention.

If all consecutive posts are in the reverse order (viz latest
on top) then things are similar and many people accept. Except
for support from some standard M$ mailers, this has not gained
much acceptance. However very few appreciate a top post on a
chronological thread, whatever be the order. Reactions may vary
from expressions of annoyance to turning a blind eye ...

bish, i surely do appreciate your point
but my common sense says that for regular listers, its very rude to go down
to the end of the post for most relevant stuff. i generally top-post
whenever a mail thread has been in top-post order.
and please, its not about M$ or someone else, its about what people find
more convenient.
i hate finger-pointing, but devdas suggested that i should use better mail
client than outlook, is absolutely annoying. i like to use outlook and
therefore i do.
please keep your personal opinions to yourself, if nobody is asking for it.
you are not doing any charity by being here or answering questions for
others! its a community and you should be respectful to others' opinions as
well.
