afaik, the MX with the lower priority is tried only if the higher priority MX is not available. In this case mail.sourceforge.net. I would try a simple brute force method to point out the problem ..
that is, if it is not reachable from the guy's network.
so maybe you can reach it, but no guarantee that Rohan's ISP can reach it.
Looks like someone upgraded externalmx.valinux.com to exim 4.20 recently (it was at exim 3.3x sometime back) and forgot to update their configs properly.
