Thnx guys 4 ur help. I was able to configure the mail server. It was primarily a 
intranet one. 
Now there are some criterias that have come up. Of the 6 users in the intranet only 2 
should be
allowed to send mail outside the intranet that is to the internet. But while sending 
the mail I 
need to change the email of the sender to another one.(A valid email id on the 
internet)
