I am using Mandrake 9.1 currently. Have my partitions laid out as under. Here : /dev/hda8 --> / of Mandrake 9.1 /dev/hda9 --> /home of Mandrake 9.1 /dev/hda10 --> swap of Mandrake 9.1 Am considering installing Slackware 9.0 now, and make it live together with Mandrake. Albeit, I am wondering if I can convert the file system on say /dev/hda7 from FAT32 to ext3 to install Slackware and at the same time share /home mounted on /dev/hda9 and swap on /dev/hda10 for BOTH Mandrake 9.1 and Slackware 9.0. Is this possible? Or is it mandatory to have a different swap and /home for both installations? Incase possible, any precautions to be taken?
