Just today I have tried out RH9 on my antique system -
Cyrix-MII/150MHz/16MB. Predictably, Gnome and KDE crawwwwwl. But I have
turned off all the services at startup and have pilfered XFCE from
Slack9 CD. Now, things are moving much faster. I now have to download
eterm and compile it for RH9.
So, my recommendations -
gedit ---> use gvim
Mozilla Browser ----> use Galeon
Mozilla Mail ----> use Sylpheed
Terminal ----> use eterm
