Just today I have tried out RH9 on my antique system - Cyrix-MII/150MHz/16MB. Predictably, Gnome and KDE crawwwwwl. But I have turned off all the services at startup and have pilfered XFCE from Slack9 CD. Now, things are moving much faster. I now have to download eterm and compile it for RH9. So, my recommendations - gedit ---> use gvim Mozilla Browser ----> use Galeon Mozilla Mail ----> use Sylpheed Terminal ----> use eterm HTH, K.Ghosh ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ linux-india-help mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-india-help
