We havae a strange problem. We are using a Wipro PIV machiene as Linux server with RHL7.3 running Postgresql/apache/squid etc.
We have developed a small software using Postgresql/php.
for last few days we have a strange problem.
In morning ( 6:30 AM) when people start using the software the response tme for saving a record in our developed software is more than 5 mins. This continues for over an hour or so. and then the response time drops to the normal level of few seconds . we donot shut down our servers. The energy savers features on the server are not On. This happens every morning for past few days . We have not made any chagnes in our server. We have tried changing lan card/ switch port etc.
We had similar problem while access files in NT server via samba. may be you should check samba configuration in case if you are using it.
