I have been runnig Redhat 9 on one of the Dell Desktops . After a couple of days the m/c goes into sleep. The display,keyboard etc hangs & shows no activity . While the m/c is accessible remotely via telnet/rsh etc . I have disabled power saving options in the BIOS & disabled 'apm' in the O.S . There is nothing as '/proc/acpi' which may even suggest the role ACPI . Can some one help in this matter ?
but if you say move the mouse etc., doesn't it come back to life? What's the problem?
