I had faced a  similar thing with a grey markey  box last year.
One  128 mb  RAM  died  after a  few  days,  and problem  never
recurred after replacement  of that specific RAM  bank ... From
the software side, I could detect no errors, and nothing in the
logs too ... Don't know if Bhoopy could find something by now !

Chances are, this could be a similar story ...
