[LIH]Problem compiling athlon config file in redhat 9 kernel

Anybody here who has compiled the redhat 9 kernel using the athlon 
config file from $KERNELSRC/configs? I am running into a spate of 
compile errors  here ... works perfectly when i use the i686 config though
