Hello all,
On my Linux Mandrake machines whenever I start cron, some security
program called msec starts and plays arounds with the files.
Something like,
Nov 10 19:01:03 linux msec: changed mode of /var/log/wtmp from 664 to
640
Nov 10 19:01:03 linux msec: changed group of /var/log/wtmp from utmp to
adm
Nov 10 19:01:03 linux msec: changed mode of /var/log/XFree86.0.log from
664 to 640
Nov 10 19:01:03 linux msec: changed mode of /etc/rc.d/init.d/f-protd
from 755 to 744

I don't know how useful this is but it is a bit annonying for something
to change permissions directly.
I want to disable the use of msec completely. (Or is it not
recommended?)
I checked /var/lib/msec files but am not sure what to do.
Can anyone tell?
With warm regards,
-Payal
