hi,

we have written some monitoring scripts for network
connectivity. We use send 4 ping packets and check the
avilability of connectivity.

But 2/3 times, it was dicovered that it gives a false
alarm when everything is fine! Is it possible that
ping get lower priority when the network is under
heavy utilization? Is there any other way to do this
in more reliable fashion.

please advice ... thanks in advance
