And if it is using alsa, make sure to use alsactl to unmute the channels.. Here are the modules I have loaded on my desktop machine.. i810_audio 25756 1 ac97_codec 11892 0 [i810_audio] I just copied these from slackware and put them in arch linux. Worked. BTW, if you could get hotplug working on it, it might have you half the things detected and configured..
