Progress report. :-) I ditched Fedora Core and installed Windows 2000 on the laptop. Then started the mad scramble for drivers - display drivers, ethernet drivers, modem drivers, sound drivers... If I had problems with the modem in Linux, I had problems with EVERY single piece of hardware with Windows. Since it had no ethernet drivers installed, and the laptop is a floppy-less model, you can imagine the pains I went through to install all these drivers. It seems that Sony doesn't support this model anymore. Ah well... Next week: Story of my experiments with dual boot :-) Binand -- Linux - It is now safe to power ON your computer. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials.
