already did apt-get update and apt-get upgrade.

apt-get dist-upgrade gave the same errors.

dpkg --configure --pending did this:
-----------------------------------

debian:/home/spavri# dpkg --configure --pending
Setting up libnetpbm10 (10.0-3) ...

Setting up libaudio2 (1.6c-1) ...

Setting up aptitude (0.2.14-3) ...

Setting up liblcms1 (1.12-2) ...

Setting up nano (1.2.3-1) ...

Setting up libcupsys2 (1.1.20final-15) ...

Setting up netpbm (10.0-3) ...
Setting up debconf-i18n (1.4.11) ...
Setting up debconf (1.4.11) ...

Setting up base-config (2.13) ...

-----------------------------

but the k3b error persists :(

as the error says, it's something to do with overwriting
/usr/lib/libk3bcore.so.2.0.0

thanks,

Sharukh.
