I am able to copy to a floppy using the cp command in Konsole. If I create my own link on the KDE desktop (url=/mnt/floppy), kde copies the file to the floppy as well. If i am working in some application and save the file to the floppy, that's allowed too.
It's only when I click on the KDE-created floppy device icon that this problem occurs. I have tried to figure out what permissions etc. need to be changed but haven't been able to.
I think it is to do with the way KDE deals with devices.
