Well Like Mr. Raghuram suggested, I changed the line unix/:7100 to /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/
in /etc/X11/XF86Config file.
You need not have done that.
Just start the X Font Server daemon (# service xfs start)
I also stopped and restarted the xfs
No need to restart it if you disable querying the XFS in your X config
/lib/modules/2.4.20-8/kernel.drivers/video/sis/sisfb.0: init_module no such device
maybe all this is because of this -
Not enough space on /tmp
Why don't you revert back to unix/:7100 and then start XFS? Should work for you.
