What you are getting are kernel oops, because of null pointers. Strangely, you
havn't even mentioned the kernel you are running and other important info
that are supposed to be given to identify the reason of an oops.
you need tyo mention stuff like:
uname -a,
ld -v,
insmod -V,
cat /proc/version,
gcc -v,
ps --version
ksymoops output after applying the kernel log,
system Environment (distro, kernel)
Processor information (from /proc/cpuinfo)
Module information (from /proc/modules)
/proc/ioports
/proc/iomem
lspci -vvv (as root)
etc.
I suggest you google for kernel oops and read a bit to get the idea why and
how people get oopses.
Also mention how you can reproduce the kernel oops, and any major changes you
recently did to the base system.
you need to install ksymoops, read the man page, and pass the oops output to
the ksymoops program. Make sure the correct system map is read by the
program (-m parameter).
Read this doc from your kernel sources documentation:
<your kernel sources directory>/Documentation/oops-tracing.txt
also you mentioned some problem on ide-scsi but failed to give the version of
packages (cdrdao, cdrecord etc).
Mailing some kernel list may also be helpful to you.
regards,
bhaskar
p.s. please CC replies to my email as i somehow dont receive a lot of mails
from this list.
