Hello! I have a doubt here, which I couldn't get clarified from the man pages/HOWTO's.

I am using a PC, and dial-up to connect to the internet.

I want to use Mutt for e-mail. I have a POP account, and I am able to download messages using Mutt's pop:// interface. Now, after going through Mutt's manuals, I couldn't find any reference to SMTP servers. However, it states that sending is handled by the MTA's. Now, sendmail is started after boot-up, and sending mail from one user to another within my PC works fine. How do I configure it to send mail to external servers also (or is such a configuration necessary in the first place)?

Thank you.

Kumar
