Hi all,
I have been using Dax 33 kbps modem for my dial in server and worked well. But now I have changed the modem to Dax 56 kbps and it is not working. I get the following sets of messages in the log file randomly.

Add "debug kdebug 7" to /etc/ppp/options and add an entry like the following to /etc/syslog.conf
daemon.* /var/log/daemon.log
Do a "service syslog reload" or "SIGHUP -p PID_OF_SYSLOG"
And then please post the relevant logs from /var/log/daemon.log. Wild guess right now is that you are using PAP/CHAP authentication and the peer is not accepting your credentials.
