Suresh, control yourself. My point of suggesting is only its always better to have a upgraded / latest stable release. Thats it.
FYI redhat has this policy of sticking to a release version in a particular distro, and backporting security and any other fixes as necessary.

He is talking about the sendmail tarball that you can download from ftp.sendmail.org. Not about the default (RPM) install in redhat.
