if its a static ip - yes. if its a dynamic ip - well, you really shouldnt accept mail sent direct from dynamic ips to your inbound mailserver..


in any case if it is forged mail you have a problem with the best thing to do is to contact the isp of the guy sending these mails and have them follow up.

following up with local isps will be be tough though, 99.9999% of the isps in india - even the largest ones such as satyam / vsnl - have improper SOPs (or even no SOP at all in some cases) for dealing with spammers.

sort of. relay-domains is a list of domains you accept mail for from any ip whatsoever, but do not deliver locally - you pass it on to another server. this is typically used when you are the backup MX for a domain
