Well, good enough. But, was it pre-installed or did you install it using a
CD? Make sure you have a boot disk handy (available by running mkbootdisk).
Then, install WinXP. Now, there are two ways of making Linux boot:
1) Use WinXP bootloader
3) Use LILO/GRUB
About WinXP bootloader, use will find resources on tldp.org. And if you want
to use LILO:
(Steps 2 & 3 require root access)
1) Boot through the bootfloppy
2) Edit your /etc/lilo.conf and add the following:
other=/dev/hdb1
optional
label=winXP
table=/dev/hdb
map-drive = 0x80
to = 0x81
map-drive = 0x81
to = 0x80
3) run /sbin/lilo
Voila! You got it all up and running!
LINUX GURUS, PLEASE CONFIRM THIS

They tell it that way because it is easier and less painstaking. Just install
Window$, install redhat or whatever and they automatically detect your
window$ partion (mostly).
