In brief this is what I did. Get the installer available from (there are two images sarge-i386-businesscard.iso and sarge-i386-netinst.iso I used the second one from http://cdimage.debian.org/pub/cdimage-testing/daily/i386/current/ burn and boot from the and start installation. In my installations iitm.ac.in is recommended by the installer scripts itself - for I selected India as the country/region. For configureing X I use xf86cfg. It will create the file /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/XF86Config - Please confirm the path before saving it. Copy this file to /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 The only thing to be changed is the screen resolution.
