           Thanks a lot for sharing your wvdial.conf file. Now I have
got it working after I inserted the line
New PPPD = yes
I wonder why this particular line is needed? And how come my
wvdial.conf file didn't have that line..... Ofcourse I have commented
out the  'Stupid Mode = 1' line. It is not necessary after all.
