Hello, To configure BSNL broadband on Redhat 9 is very easy job.

Here goes - As root, in a terminal or command line, run 'pppoeconfig'. It wil detect your modem and will ask you to give the username and password. Next it will ask you if you want DNS configuration to be given to you by the IP, say yes. Then it will ask if you want the connection to come up when you start up the computer, say yes and that's all. Whenever you switch on your computer, have your modem turned on before. You can also turn on/off your connection through 'pon' and 'poff'.
