Something similar to Fax gateway.
A fax machine connected to modem and PC.
When any document is faxed, it actually land up at PC via Modem, and then PC
will send that file to a remote PC (Internet / Broadband etc )having modem
and FAX. The document will be printed on FAX machine via modem OR modem will
dial another number and send the Fax to that number.

You can do that with Hylafax. We have had a paperless (almost) fax system for the past 3 years.
