As suggested on the list already, tpc.int should be a good choice, not sure how quick their service is though. If you want to build your own FAX gateway kind of setup, and you're okay with a commercial product, look up www.tobit.com ... their products run on Linux as well as other network OS. You will need to install a server in each location, and will be able to send faxes using least cost routing. Here's the idea that I have (I may be wrong).... I can have 3 servers, One in Mumbai, another in London and yet another in New York. Now when I want to send a fax to someone in Amsterdam, I will send an email with the attached fax content, to a local server. This server will decide that the least cost will be incurred if the fax is sent from London, and accordingly, the email will be forwarded to London server, which will then dial out to Amsterdam and fax it out to the intended destination. Another twist could be that I have just one server in Mumbai. I can send an email with the fax content attached, to this server from anywhere in the world. When this server receives the email, it will convert the attachment into a fax, and using VoIP, fax it to any destination in the world (except India of course). Again, these are just my ideas.. and I may be wrong ! regards, Satsco. __________________________________________ Yahoo! DSL Something to write home about.
