No. I got two geometrys (geometries?) for the disk. One from hdparm -g and one from gparted. Both didn't work. Hmmm. I tried going into the birtual Phoenix bios of VMWare. But was unable to enter the right geometry because the bios UI is not allowing me to enter 255 cylinders (or is it heads?).
