No. I got two geometrys (geometries?) for the disk. One from hdparm -g
and one from gparted. Both didn't work. I was unable to boot into
kernel 2.4 as suggested by the web site because there is problem
installing and configuring a 2.4 kernel on Ubuntu Dapper Drake.

Hmmm. I tried going into the birtual Phoenix bios of VMWare. But was
unable to enter the right geometry because the bios UI is not allowing
me to enter 255 cylinders (or is it heads?).
