Hi All,

In newer version of Linux distros, we have a command "ip address show"
which gives us a list of all (network) interfaces, even those which
are currently down. I need this because "ifconfig" command will show
only those interfaces which are up.

Just as "ip address show" command gets me the list of all interfaces
present (irrespective of its status).. I would like to know of some
method which will get me a list of all interfaces as older versions
dont have the "ip" command.

Its not necessary that the replacement be a command, a pointer to a
file having the list will be just fine.

Thanks in advance,

Warm wishes,

Virat
